Steve Francia

Steve Francia Hi, I'm Steve Francia. I'm a technology and business executive, developer and innovator. I am currently the Vice President of Engineering at The OpenSky Project responsible for architecture, development and infrastructure.

My career has led me down interesting paths crossing with some great people and working to build fantastic products, projects and companies. Before OpenSky I led Technology and Operations as the CIO and COO at Portero Luxury. Before Portero I built Takkle, a social network focused on sports. Prior to Takkle, I founded Supernerd LLC, a consulting firm whose clients included Priceline.com, '09 MLS league champions Real Salt Lake and Stanford University. Supernerd specialized in internet related technologies with expertise in e-commerce, social media, scalability, usability (UX), security, online marketing and seach engine optimization (SEO).

Somehow I find time to blog about my experiences, ideas and other rablings at spf13.com, a blog on development, IT, leadership and social media which is an alltop.com featured blog and was recently featured in CIO Magazine (Aug ‘09). I am a recognized social media industry leader (CIO Zone & Mosnar Communications).

I created the Zoop Framework a popular framework for php. Zoop was the first object oriented PHP framework and is commonly referred to as one of the top PHP frameworks (phpit.net, dreamcss.com, and Php Frameworks).

The most important thing in my life is my family. Second is my work. When I am not working or spending time with family I can usually be found playing basketball, soccer or frisbee. Skateboarding, at the gym or practicing yoga.

The best ways to contact me are online.
Twitter works well, as does the contact form on spf13.com.
You can reach me via Google Voice as well.

Here is a list of a few of the publications where I have been featured, interviewed or quoted.
